Issey Miyake Linen Crepe Scarf c. 1984. This scarf appears in the 1988 book ‘Issey Miyake, Photographs by Irving Penn’, one of the first chronicles of the designer’s formidable talent. Description in book reads: ‘Linen Crepe Scarf left partly unwoven for openness’. See photo of accompanying sketch, and I tried also to photograph the photo by Irving Penn. Scarf is 100% linen and has some wear, i.e. some frayed, stretched, or pulled threads, but nothing that detracts from the appearance in my opinion. Measures approx. 38" x 70".
